Japanese-Reading Web Designer and Developer

Job Description:
Chris Peterson Design is working on a Japanese version of a web site for a large consulting firm. They’re looking for a designer/front end developer that can help them with the Japanese typography on the site.
Requirements:
* Review their current html comps
* Advise on how they need to adjust the typography for Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji characters
* Assist in their understanding of different Japanese typefaces and their availability on common Japanese operating systems
* Assist in writing the CSS that will be needed to adjust content for optimal Japanese character display
This will be a remote, short-term freelance project. It’s small, but extremely important.

Job Description:
Change the way the world thinks in 4 weeks. The Mind Gym is looking for an experienced web designer to help refresh their website.
As part of The Mind Gym’s new strategy, they want to tilt the look and feel increasingly towards their business clients whilst maintaining the spirit and energy for which they are known and, in places, loved.
The role is to:
* Set the creative direction for the new B2B website that complements and builds on the existing brand equity
* Collaborate with in-house designer to implement the new look consistently
* Provide practical and innovative design solutions for tricky challenges
The lead web designer will be one member of the web refresh team which also includes:
* In-house designer
* Web developer (HTML/CSS, wireframes, user testing)
* Marketing executive (user research, copy)
* MD (sponsor)
The design phase of the project is anticipated to take 4 weeks (starting mid-June).
Requirements:
* Must have led the creative design of major B2B websites
* Must have developed a new creative direction for an existing brand
* Must have an extensive online portfolio
* Gathered a sense of the magic in The Mind Gym
Daily rates are negotiable.

Mintel, a global supplier of consumer, media and competitive intelligence, seeks to expand their US team of professional freelance researcher-writers to compile quality, data-rich, insightful reports. Mintel’s series of reports cover the areas of food and beverage, beauty and personal care, and lifestyle. These topics should be reflected in the knowledge and expertise of their freelance writers.
Their most urgent need currently is for researchers/writers with expertise in the following areas:
* Knowledge of consumer marketing in a multicultural setting
* Consumer-based knowledge of cultural behavior, specifically lifestyle & trends
Qualifications:
* Freelancers will have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience
* Highly skilled in consumer research/data interpretation.
* Strategic thinking expressed through quality writing within tight deadlines is a must.
* Expertise in the subject matter of the report is essential.
