This is one cup of coffee everyone must see, and yes, I mean see. I am talking about www.freelancewritinggigs.com. When you open this website, the most beautiful cup of coffee is staring you in the face. The only thing, (to me), that could have been more impressive was if the site had a scent of coffee. But, while it didn’t smell like coffee, the picture was so attractive I almost left the computer and went to Starbucks. I would say coffee is the theme of this site. The home page is similar to the color of coffee, (unless of course, you have coffee with your cream!) with a touch of pink, a neatly divided layout and easy to read format.

There is so much information you almost forget you are there to search for jobs. Of course, being a writing site, the articles are quite good, and there is SO much to read and link to, in fact everything links to something else. Perhaps that’s why you need a few cups of coffee before you go to this website.

I can’t say that I found the job postings as easily as other sites, however there was something interesting with each click of my mouse in looking for those job postings. It seems the postings are kind of here, there and everywhere, but not in a strict order or place. This may be a good strategy, because while looking for a particular job, the reader keeps jumping around and therefore hits most of the different sections of the website. I’m sure if you spent enough time at this website, you would be able to go exactly where you want, but if so, believe me, you would miss something. The only thing I wasn’t fond of was the advertising on the right side of the page, it seemed out of place. I realize websites need advertising, but on this site, it at least needs to match the coffee colors.

If you like to write, are looking for different writing avenues and jobs, this website has something for you. It is definitely a website to stop and take notice of, BUT be sure and have a pot of coffee ready, you’ll need it!!
