The Company is growing rapidly and looking for experienced and energetic writers/reporters to be part of an experienced team of journalists who cover the US stock market.

ABOUT THE WRITING POSITION (Telecommute):
The position involves writing real-time stock, ETF or commodity specific news for a unique, full trading day (plus extended-hours) real time mobile and desktop market news and trading idea service.

In depth familiarity and extensive experience in covering the US stock market required. Stories are carried on the MidnightTrader.com site and are syndicated to other major market data platforms, leading online brokerage firms and other large financial institutions.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience writing fast paced, breaking stock market coverage for a wire service or equivalent;
* Ability to work the hours of 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM EST daily, Monday – Friday remotely;
* Reliable access to a computer with a high speed internet connection.

COMPENSATION:
Pay is very competitive and while freelance, provides a regular and reliable monthly income. The Company has a tremendous record of retaining contributors, most likely due to both the vacation policy and pay.

PEOPLE.com is seeking a talented freelance designer and creative thinker to join the Editorial team in developing and executing design solutions for the site. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating an engaging and rewarding editorial experience for our online audience. The position will report directly to the Design Director for PEOPLE.com

Requirements:
•    Candidate will have 6-8 years experience designing for large-scale, CMS controlled sites. Experience in usability, SEO and information design is a must.
•    Candidates must have a background and education in design or fine arts with exceptional typography and understanding of visual hierarchy and grid systems.
•    A high degree of interest in the Internet and emerging technologies is preferred.
•    The position requires a resourceful and collaborative team player with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
•    Strong communication skills, personal organization, attention to detail and time management skills are essential.
•    Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software, XHTML, CSS, web standards-based design and Flash.
•    Print and/or Editorial design experience a strong plus.

Responsibilities:
•    Produce compelling visual page layouts and application interfaces aligned with editorial objectives, IT requirements, and in keeping with the PEOPLE brand.
•    Support Design Director and Editorial staff in ideation, development and troubleshooting for small and large scale projects.
•    Assist in Design process and standards documentation.
