With so many freelance websites available, the websites that seem to have the greatest amount of projects are the ones I return to frequently. In searching for a site to review today, I went through the registration process of one site, so I could view the projects only to discover when I looked the jobs postings, all had expired except one. Seriously?? How can a website expect to be successful with one job available?? Ok. Enough complaining. I just needed to vent a bit. Moving on…

Some days, I need to remember that wonderful children’s book, The Little Engine That Could, when I start looking at all the freelance websites and jobs that are available to so many seekers. www.Icanfreelance.com reminded me of that book when I started looking through the jobs. “I can freelance, I can freelance”, I kept repeating to myself.

I’ve never seen this site until today and I am not sure how I missed it. Everything one would need seems to be on the home page. While that could tend to crowd the page, this site is laid out well enough that it is easily read and navigated. There is a listing to the left that tells you the number of jobs available for each category. They list the Newest Projects under that column and there are three sections that list Newest projects, (didn’t they just list that to the left?) and something I haven’t seen, Urgent projects. I would imagine that column would get a great amount of hits. Also, under those listings are different computer languages and categories all listed in different fonts and sizes. When you highlight one of those you are taken to freelance jobs available in that area. That feature makes it quite easy to go to exactly where you want, without really having to search anything. There is a forum for communicating with each other and learning how to familiarize yourself with the website. You also can have newly posted jobs sent to you by RSS feed. The largest amount of jobs is found in the Web and Programming categories with Design and Multimedia following in second. The postings are current and the site seems to be up to date in all areas.

This is an overall nice website which seems to have a variety of jobs and well as a good number of projects available. So, for those days when you need a jumpstart on the positive, go to www.icanfreelance.com and repeat the following: ‘I can freelance, I can freelance”. That may be all you need to find that perfect freelancing job! Good luck!
