They say (who is “they”?), If you are handed lemons, make lemonade, is that the same with limes? www.limeexchange.com tries to make the experience of finding a freelance job sweeter than lemons or limes. This is one of those nice simplified, easy to read websites that doesn’t offer much besides job postings, but then again, isn’t that what we go to these sites for?

Lime Exchange is a global website that provides projects in the areas of Graphic Arts and Designs, Audio/Video and Multimedia, Software Development, Web Development, Networking and Information Systems, Writing and Translation, and Services. While you can view the sub categories when looking at the details of the job, they are not listed on the main page or in any order on the job postings. One nice thing about this website is that you can actually view job details without having to sign up. Which I consider a plus, since I have signed up for websites only to find they offer no jobs in my categories. There are different membership options and explanations of those options are given on their FAQ page.

One negative I found was on this website, is you have to go down to the bottom of the page to the small font to go back to the Home page. Once you travel from the Home page, you are pretty much stuck on whatever page you land on. I guess I am just used to always having a HOME tab at the top of the webpage. Silly spoiled me, right?? I will add their HELP page is really thorough and explains in detail the different areas, programs, procedures etc. At least, there is confidence in knowing you can find an answer because you may never find the Home page again.

In reading further about LimeExchange, this website is also designed to help you earn money by referring people to the site. There are credits and points given for things such as placing widgets and links on your website or blog and inviting your viewers to join Lime Exchange. You can also import your contacts to earn points and credits. When receiving a certain number of credits or points, discounts are given on project fees and other fees on this site.

So whether you prefer limes or lemons, make the job hunt sweeter by searching www.limeexchange.com for your next freelancing job.
