Company in Montville has a short term freelance position for a web production artist to draft a mock up landing page, twitter site and blog. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with WordPress and basic web 2.0 design.

The Human Resources Intern supports the general needs of the HR department.  Mentored by a Human Resources manager, you’ll gain first hand experience with HR processes in a dynamic, creative studio setting – a great opportunity for someone seeking to start or further their career in Human Resources.  This is a full-time internship of 30-40 hours/week with some schedule flexibility.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to the following:

Assisting in Recruiting efforts:
Coordinating and setting up interviews for applicants in various locations
Managing a project to create a pool of freelance contractors
Closing out requisitions in HRSmart (our Applicant Tracking System)
Checking references of applicants

Assisting with New Hire Process
Creating email packages to be mailed out to new hires
Tracking outstanding documents
Preparing documentation for files

Assisting with general Human Resources Administration
Scheduling and arranging orientations and onboarding
Answering general benefit and policy questions
Processing timesheets and vacation requests and timesheets
Helping to plan and carry out studio activities
Updating HR presentations
Processing employment verifications
Assisting with university relations
Taking on general HR projects as assigned

Job Requirements

• Basic knowledge of HR practices
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to work on a team as well as independently
• Interest in learning and observing Human Resources and Recruiting functions
• A high level of discretion and confidentiality
• Able to work consistent schedule of 30-40 hours per week
• Solid computer skills, specifically in MS Office Suite are required
• College level course-work in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field  preferred
