Description:
Primary responsibility is to lead design and oversee multiple projects. Art Directors are responsible for developing innovative design directions on projects, oversee and mentor designers, and present work to clients. Under the guidance of the Design Director, Art Directors oversee a wide range of web-related projects including website designs, interactive marketing campaigns, graphic user interfaces, style guides, and presentation materials. This is a great opportunity for experienced Designers to lead interactive projects for major brands.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of interactive web design experience
• Strong typographic and layout skills
• Thorough working knowledge of HTML and current development practices
• Working knowledge of Flash animation and experience with motion design
• Drawing/illustration skills are highly desirable

Description: Graphic designers at Moment interpret brand strategy and execute visual and information design of user interfaces across digital media.
• 2 – 4 years of professional experience in interaction design
• Experience observing, brainstorming and interacting with colleagues, clients, and end users
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain and substantiate design decisions
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• A passion for creating new kinds of user experiences
Requirements:
• BFA in Graphic Design or related field
• Fluency with core graphic design principles (typography, form, color, composition, imagery, etc.) and the confidence to bend the rules when necessary
• A systematic approach and the ability to work in many different styles
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Expert in the use of Adobe Creative Suite and FLASH
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS (at least enough of an understanding to recognize good code when you see it)
Desired characteristics:
• Experience with advanced “front-end” technologies & approaches, including: XHTML/CSS, ActionScript, JavaScript, AJAX, DHTML, etc.
• Know the correct use of en and em dashes, curly quotes, apostrophes and primes, and what to do about widows, orphans, and hanging punctuation
• Ability to crystallize complex ideas into clear, informative visual design

Kaplan publishing, with a growing digital publishing program, seeks a motivated, detail-oriented Freelance Part-time Proofreader to perform in-depth quality assurance of simple and reference-level eBooks. The assignment requires on sight work and is scheduled to start immediately for a 4 to 6 week period.
Job Responsibilities include:
• QA/proofread digital content to verify adherence to quality standards;
• Meet tight schedules for approval of content;
• Assist in refining QA procedures and standards to increase efficiency;
• Work on-site for minimum of 20 hours/week.
Qualifications:
• B.A./B.S. required;
• 2+ years of QA and proofreading experience;
• Comfortable working primarily on-screen;
• Efficient and detail-oriented;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Good communication and organizational skills;
• Familiarity with HTML, XML, and eBook readers;
• Ability to multi-task without losing sight of details;
• High degree of responsiveness and integrity;
