We are seeking candidates with:
Samples of flash website builds for Fortune 500 clients and/or major advertising agencies
Strong command of Action Script 2.0 and 3.0
Strong animation skills (graphic design based, not character animation)
Extensive experience working with video in flash

Visual Designer (Interactive) – Freelance/Contract

The Interactive Designer position requires strong online design and production skills.

This person must also be able to take direction well, be team oriented, as well as take initiative. Strong grasp of applicable software is required, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Fireworks and Dreamweaver, as well as a strong understanding of web technologies. Mobile application design experience is a plus.

• Must have a very strong design portfolio, reflecting excellent Web design experience and production skills
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures of graphic and Web design, and usability, with a strong user-centered design orientation
• Deliver innovative, quality web design that is consistent with the brand, the overall design direction of the E*TRADE.com Web site, and the goals of the company.
Predominant duty will be production of online marketing materials to support various marketing and product campaigns.
• Expert level production skills required, including attention to typography (tracking, leading), production, image optimization
• Aid in the design and development of new templates

Minimum Professional and Technical Skills:

3+ years Web production and design experience
Experience designing with Fireworks, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator
Experience working on a highly trafficked Web site
Exceptional organizational and analytic skills
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong project and people management skills
Ability to work under deadlines and within a dynamic environment
Minimum Education, Certification, Training:
Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree in Design

Flash Developer (Freelance/Contract)

SolidWorks is seeking a freelance Flash developer for contract work to help develop our next generation of leading edge software. This position will involve developing reusable components for communication and user interfaces.

You’ll be working closely with the creative team, helping to define and extend our design excellence.

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge and experience;
- Strong command of Action Script 2.0 and 3.0
- Understanding of AS 2.0 Component architecture – experience building components from scratch
- Accurately and seamlessly translate designs into animations and user interfaces through creative collaboration
- Strong animation skills (graphic design based, not character animation)
- Experience creating dynamic Flash applications that use XML and server side technologies
- Understanding of OOP programming techniques
- Experience with one or more programming languages apart from Actionscript is a plus.
- Proficient with Photoshop and Illustrator

A strong portfolio should demonstrate these skills.
