Details: We currently are seeking a dynamic professional for the role of Assistant Editor. The ideal candidate should be an innovative self-starter who will assist the post production team with digitizing, outputs, and media management of our daily productions. Individual must be extremely well-organized, precise and detail oriented. Must be able to manage extensive amounts of media while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a fast paced environment. Must be able to handle and prioritize many tasks simultaneously.

You will be responsible for:
• Digitizing and uprezing video from different tape and file based formats.
• Manage the storage space of the SAN on a daily basis.
• Work with the editors to create and organize bins and media for editing.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise.
• Assist editors with organizing elements and graphics.
• Some editing.

Requirements:
• Must be fluent with Final Cut Pro.
• Must know After Effects.
• Experience working in a broadcast environment.
• Knowledge of SAN and workgroups a plus.
• Demonstrate the ability to work well with others as well as work on projects independently.
• Experience with HD formats
• Must have excellent communication, and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Be a self starter and follow things through to the end.
