Our payment structure starts at $10.00 per 500 word article – compensation varies for each project division.

Responsibilities:
• Manage client accounts/projects on a day to day basis under the supervision of a Senior Manager. Interface with internal and external client contacts at all levels of seniority.
• Understand the meeting needs and account parameters of various clients across multiple industries.
• Demonstrable experience in managing multiple clients simultaneously is a must.
• Ensure that all tasks necessary to deliver a successful client experience are completed on time and within budget and according to division standards.
• Ensure that all costs are accurately communicated to the client in a timely manner.
• The ideal candidate will manage projects and tasks as assigned, with minimal supervision. This includes, but is not limited to meeting request qualification, site search, contract rate and concession negotiation, management of registration process, coordination with Group Air Specialists, coordination of ground transportation, coordination of rooming lists, VIP services, negotiation of pricing and logistics for audio visual needs, meeting correspondence, coordination of destination management services, on-site meeting supervision, budget management, meeting reconciliation, meeting financial reporting.
• Report meeting statistics, commissions, hours and benchmarking statistics to the appropriate manager/director.
• Surface customer service issues as they arise and offer solutions proactively.
• Partner with the Group Air Department to ensure that meeting related air travel is as the client requests. Work with Group Travel Project Coordinators to communicate meeting details, customer service issues, timing, etc.
• Travel to meetings as needed (5%, may grow)
• Perform all other responsibilities and complete projects as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.
• May be responsible for the supervision of other Meeting Planners or coordinators working on the same client account or project. (as permanent hire only)
• Through effective time management and industry knowledge, embody and promote an environment where teamwork is central, and where a life-work balance is the goal.

Qualifications:
• Knowledge and demonstrated practice of business and procedural parameters associated with the meetings and travel industry.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong, demonstrable understanding of various computer software and database management programs.
• Strong, demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office including a very strong knowledge of Excel.
• Willingness and ability to adapt to proprietary and industry related programs as they are brought on-line.
