Description:

The Real Deal, a 60,000-circulation news magazine that provides an inside look at the big players and major deals in the New York City real estate market, is seeking a freelance reporter to work out of our office for part of each month. The reporter would be responsible for writing several stories for each issue of the monthly magazine as well as writing for the magazine’s online daily news site. We are looking for a self-starter with the ability to get up to speed with the beat quickly, and with enough creativity and reporting skills to generate their own story ideas. As the main content supplier for GardenGuides.com, Demand Studios is looking for writers who are gardening experts and enthusiasts.

Garden Guides readers come to us for comprehensive and accurate information, so we are looking for writers who share a passion and love for gardening. Your personal experiences should come through in your writing through tips or examples, adding a unique perspective to what might be an otherwise generic topic.

The Job:
Demand Studios offers you the flexibility to claim and work on multiple assignments at a time, allowing you to work at your own pace, from any location, and earn money around your schedule.

Our article assignments vary in length and format, and cover a wide array of categories so you can focus on writing about the specific gardening topics that interest you most.

Writers are paid $15 per article, with some rates higher or lower depending on the length and format of the assignment. All payments are made weekly and are deposited directly into your PayPal account.

All writers receive a byline on each piece written to help build exposure and credibility for you and your writing.

Qualifications:
Gardening experience is required. Please make sure your resume includes information pertaining to your gardening expertise. Writing samples will ideally be on a gardening related topic, but more importantly will demonstrate your ability to write clearly and concisely on a specific topic.
