Freelance/Technical Writer (Airline Industry)

We are working with our client in locating a consultant for writing assignments.  You will work as a freelance writer for an airline industry publication.  The magazine is published twice per year and about 25 articles per issue.  Ten thousand copies are printed.  The audience is airline executives at the management level.

You will be asked to quickly and independently write high quality articles.  The faster you can write without much editing needed, the more articles she/he will have an opportunity to write. The subject matter will be decided by the client and you may need to ghost write certain articles where a subject matter expert is the named writer.  Articles to be written may cover subjects such as the environment, air traffic control, fuel costs, new sources of revenue for airlines, safety.  You will work with subject matter experts when necessary.

Required Skills
• 3+ years technical writing experience
• Airline industry knowledge a plus
• Able to work with subject matter experts
• Will need to have samples of work if requested

Start date: November
Duration: total 25 to 50 hours every six months.  25 to 50 hours throughout November and December.  Part-time on-going relationship, to write articles twice per year.
Location: 100% Virtual
