Location: Anywhere We’re in Chicago. (You can be anywhere)

Our Company:
We make carbon nanotubes used to revolutionize the electronics industry.
Our Website:
We have a website and a back-end programmer. The website is an ecommerce site built on the Magento platform. We need an amazing designer who can dazzle us with contemporary design, and amaze us with lightening fast turn around time.
The site (http://nanointe.nexcess.net/index.php/) is 90% complete from a number of pages and copy perspective. We just want to make it look better with a better design, better images, better fonts, better color, better layout.
Web site designs we like:
http://www.plasticlogic.com/index.php
http://www.universaldisplay.com/default.asp
http://skype.com/business/
http://fmyi.com/
http://www.greatworks.se/

Required Skills:
You’ll need to be able to design the site and also go into the Magento system and update the CSS and html etc to activate the site online. Some collaboration with our backend programmer (he’s a good dude) will also be required.
• CS4 or equivalent software competency
• Html
• CSS
• XML
• Flash (minimal if any at all)
• Illustration is a plus

Timing:
We are looking for someone to start immediately. I have the scoping document already drafted. I’d see this as a 10 out of 10 if we could have a final concept in week one. Inner pages on week two, and the new design live on the website at the end of week three.

On-Going Relationship:
We won’t be your bread and butter. But, we do have plenty of design projects on the plan for the next 6-12 months. We’ll need updates to our site, print materials, and a variety of other things designed, and we’d love to have a “go to” designer who can do it all and help us create a visual identity.
