Project 4 Hire
I have come across another job posting site for all you freelancers out there. This one is called Project 4 Hire and is free to job posters and freelancers. The site works on the bidding system, where available jobs show up on the board and interested freelancers then place their bid on the task. When you are awarded the task, a 5% fee, based on the amount to be paid for the job, must be paid to the hosts before the task is released. Some of the employers pay the 5% fee to enable their freelancers to be able to get started more quickly on the task. Joining is simple and quick. Pick a user name, set a password, and create your profile. Boom! Now you’re ready to start browsing available jobs.
The site also offers a permanent job posting section, verses the ones you bid on. Not all of the job postings require relocation, or even going into an office every day, so you can continue to freelance out of your own environment.
Something I haven’t seen on the other freelance sites is a referral program. With this, you are encouraged to find others to use the service, for free, and 25% of any fees they incur during the life of their membership are forwarded to you. If you hit your networking database really hard, this can add up to some decent easy money pretty fast.
You can link the site into your Twitter and Facebook accounts and they are also set up to link directly to Yahoo, My MSN and Google. You don’t have to worry about missing that new post coming in that’s right up your alley.
For $20.00 a month, you can use the optional Safe Transfer feature. This feature will hold all funds from the employer in an escrow account, to be released upon completion of the job. Any disputes or discrepancies are handled by a mediator to ensure protection for all parties involved. For peace of mind and preventing any unforeseen headaches, this might be the way to go.
The forum on the site is a fantastic way to discuss all facets of the freelancing world; another avenue for you to expand your network and contacts as you keep up to date on the current trends and ever-changing opportunities available to you.
So add this job board/networking site to your to-do list. Expand your potential for opportunity. It’s free, it’s simple, it’s food for your client list. Watch it grow.
Freelancing is my life. It's what I know, it's what I'm good at, and I can't imagine doing anything else. You can call me "Freddie the Freelancer"… because I'd prefer not to use my real name for reasons that I'll tell you about in a moment.

I’ve been trying to post my portfolio files on Project4hire for several days now. I noticed in the Forum several others are having the same problem. Back in September of last year, the “admin” answered with some possible reasons why the images won’t upload. I’ve made certain my files meet the criteria and so have others who have written. There have been no more responses from the admin about this problem even though people have written about this problem after the supposed fix. What’s up? Does anyone out there know of a way to resolve this? Thanks.
