Description:
Experienced Flash Developer needed for freelance project approximately 1 month in length. The project would begin ASAP. Rate depends on experience.

You must be proficient with ActionScript 3 and object-oriented programming. The application has lots of behind-the-scenes programming logic including reading xml configuration files, presenting randomly selected text and pictures on the screen, polling for keyboard responses, and uploading data to a backend server. The application has no graphic design requirements.

Millisecond Software is a small software company located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. You would mostly be working from home with occasional meetings onsite or via Skype. It’s ok if you are doing this on top of other projects, but ideally, you’d have 20-40 hours/week available to crank this out.

User Interface Designer

Description:
Globe Runner SEO seeks a free lance graphics and web designer to work on as needed bases on a variety of projects. Individual must have a minimum of 5 years job related experience working in web design. This individual will work primarily from their own location, but must be located in DFW to come in to meet with clients etc.


GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under general direction, creates complex web pages for a our clients including graphics, animation, and functionality. Designs web page layouts and creates all necessary user interface graphics, icons, color schemes and content. Partners with Developers to implement pages or applications into production. Requires knowledge of commercial internet/web tools and protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience. Requires at least 5 years related experience. Advanced computer software skills, particularly using Adobe products. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Advanced HTML and CSS skills, and an understanding of modular web design theory. Solid, working knowledge of PHP and Javascript. Any Flash ActionScript experience would be a huge plus. Solid visual design principles including grid-based designs, color theory, typography, layout, user interface elements and production techniques. Understands concepts of source code control and how to use tools; translates the design specification into physical code; creates and assembles code modules from existing code repositories; Knowledge of HTML coding best practices for search engine optimization and accessibility; Utilizes key design principles and industry standards to ensure clear navigation, GUI, content design and ease of use for target audience; solicits feedback from end users to make modifications. Understands and utilizes common web site development tools, creates web user interfaces using graphics tools, understands brand value and how to extend it to the Internet.

Bottom line we need someone that can design clean, beautiful sites that can be efficiently coded.
