Stellabean, a small creative design agency, is seeking a freelance Junior Designer to work with virtually. You would be creating interactive deliverables such as micro-site designs, emails, and banner campaigns with pre-established visual language systems. All work would involve working within our client’s brand standards. A strong sense of layout and typography is needed as well as the ability to manage your time effectively and hand deliverables in on time. The brands we work with are highly established hotel brands so a good photographic sensibility is also advantageous.

You are or have:
• More or less available from 9am to 6pm during eastern standard time
• 1-3 years experience designing at an interactive or design agency
• A portfolio with interactive work examples
• Strong typographic and layout aesthetics
• A detail-oriented self-starter who is able to work independently and self assess job assignments
• Ability to work within existing brand guidelines

Senior PHP Programmer with High Availability/Cloud Experience

Tampa, Florida or Anywhere

We are seeking a Senior PHP Programmer to help us with various programming projects who is excited about working as a remote freelancer for a major sporting event. Your work will be the center piece of a major event and see traffic of over 17 million page views a DAY. If this sounds like something that gets your creative and coding juices running, we want to hear from you!

Required Skills:

* 5+ years PHP/MySQL programming experience
* The ideal candidate should have extensive experience creating highly trafficked websites
* Strong PHP5 / Object Oriented Programming skills
* Strong understanding of Design Patterns
* Overall experience with LAMP and open source in general
* Experience writing web services
* Experience creating REST based architectures
* Experience using PHP Frameworks like Kohana
* Experience creating applications from the ground up
* Experience with software development life cycle, from design and implementation to unit testing and production deployment
* Familiarity and experience working in cloud environment (bonus if experience is with Rackspace CloudServers and/or RightScale.com controllers)
* Expert understanding of XHTML/CSS/Javascript/Ajax
* Detail oriented with excellent organization and time-management abilities
* Must have excellent problem solving skills and love technical challenges
* Must be self-motivated, and able to multi-task
* Must be able to take initiative to be productive and efficient
* B.S./M.Sc.Computer Science or equivalent experience
* Prior consulting/freelance experience a big plus

This would be for an on-going, full-time freelance (contract) position with our company. (We do not care whether you are local to us in Tampa, Florida or wish to work remote from anywhere else on the planet.) The initial commitment, after a probationary/testing period, would be a single 2 – 3 month project with the possibility of a long term relationship upon the successful, on-time completion.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All candidates will be expected to supply an example of PHP code as well as the domain and general traffic stats of their most highly trafficked project completed to date. Please only apply if you have completed a PHP/MySQL project that serves at LEAST 10 million page views a month.
