Here we are, at the last report from my interview with Dave VanHorn, co-founder of Prfessor.com. I hope you have enjoyed parts one, two and three of this series and gleaned all sorts of useful information from them. This week we will look more closely at the marketing angle of building your own academy.
Prfessor.com allows you to reach out, create interest and develop business relationships
As a freelancer, face time with clients and potential clients is vital to your success. With your academy, you have the ability to reach anyone and everyone that has online access.
At any given moment there are 250 million people online looking for information. Prfessor.com is a fine tuned delivery system for you to provide your information to those people.
Just imagine what it would be like to grab a piece of those numbers!!
With your own academy, you have the opportunity to allow viewers to see whatever you choose to show them; whether it be video material, enhanced e-book information that you can regularly update or just displays of your previous work. The site allows all forms of media to be used within your academy.
Now you can have a constant presence in front of potential clients.
Any time of day, your academy is there to represent you. No busy signal, no voicemail, no doorbell ringing to an empty office. Seven days a week, 365 days a year, you are available to introduce yourself, your knowledge and your skills to others.
A freelancer always has to be on their A game. With the content you put at your online Academy, you don’t have to worry about a bad hair day, writers block or one of those ‘just don’t feel like talking to anyone days’ ever again. You, at your best, are right there on the site.
With the internal messaging system, it’s practically effortless to establish a working relationship with all clients; returning and new. Building an ongoing relationship with your clients is an integral component to your success, and the tools in place at your Academy will allow you to do that with ease.
Gain Credibility
You will gain credibility by being associated with such a reputable and professional site. You don’t have to worry about being lumped into a search criteria that lumps your academy in with let’s say ‘less desirable’ company. I’m sure any one that has ever done a search on YouTube knows exactly what I am referring to.
By having your video material available at your online Academy, you will eliminate competing offers or material that distracts from your own. Your content is privatized, protected from others who may utilize your information for their own gain.
Traffic to your academy is targeted and intentional. The Web3.0 model requires an email address from all visitors in order for them to proceed. This shows you the clear interest of your visitors.
The 3.0 platform utilized at prfessor.com has 3 very important benefits to any freelancer.
1. Search engines work with key words to drive interested parties to your Academy.
2. Once your information is discovered by the visitors, the system is formatted to capture their interest.
3. There is a complete business system in place within your Academy to monitize the information you provide.
This is a platform no freelancer should be without.
With no limits on the amount of content you supply, the potential exposure and income you can generate, the marketing potential of your own online Academy is endless. Tie your updates and news to your other social media notifications and watch your enrollment (and your business) grow.

Freelancing is my life. It's what I know, it's what I'm good at, and I can't imagine doing anything else. You can call me "Freddie the Freelancer"… because I'd prefer not to use my real name for reasons that I'll tell you about in a moment.
