Looking for an expert Drupal developer to help us complete development on numerous large Drupal projects, most of which blend both Open Atrium as a backend intranet and a standard drupal website as the front end.

Experience required:

  • Thorough knowledge of Drupal core and modules (groups, spaces, book, etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of creating and customizing Drupal themes (implementing designs, not designing them from scratch)
  • Experience with Open Atrium intranet software
  • Experienced in CSS and standards based markup
  • Experience with implementing AJAX and JS libraries (you don’t need to know how to develop these from scratch).
  • Linux admin experience a huge plus
  • Good communication skills
  • Disciplined, hardworking, and honest

Speakaboos is seeking a highly creative freelance flash designer and developer to build small and medium-sized projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the creative and product team, to concept Flash projects including but not limited to flash games, interactive stories and flash applications.
  • Translate designs accurately and seamlessly into animations
  • Create dynamic and scalable interactive Flash applications
  • Assist in all phases of creative work from concept and storyboards through production

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong portfolio of Flash-based animations with 2+ years of experience in Flash Design and/or Scripting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science or a related field
  • Expert level Actionscript 3 and OO programming
  • Expert knowledge of Flash animation techniques using both the timeline and programmatic motion
  • Experience creating dynamic Flash applications that use XML and server side technologies
  • Expert knowledge of encoding audio and video within Flash
  • Proficient with Photoshop/Illustrator/Fireworks
  • Experience with HTML/Javascript/XML
  • Must be creative, resourceful, innovative and pro-active
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to stay focused and deliver on time and on budget

WHAT’S REQUIRED:

  • To write articles about web design topics, usability, tutorials for Photoshop, Illustrator and others.
  • The amount of articles to be written per month can be negotiated.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • A solid experience in the design field, either as a blog writer, creative director, teacher, or experience in the field.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge on current technologies and design trends
  • Expert knowledge on the field that you’d write about.

WHAT WE’RE NOT LOOKING FOR:

  • Research writers.
  • A beginner on either the field of design or new to writing (unless you can prove your expertise in a test article)
  • An author that will remix existing content (we check all content for duplicates, or ‘borrowing’), please don’t bother!
  • Resumes: we do not want to see your resume. We’re only interested in whether you can write at an expert level about web design.

PAYMENT:

  • Compensation for each article is between $150-300 (price varies depending on the length of the article) payable via Paypal, with full attribution and link to your website or Twitter account.
