Description:

We are working with our client in locating a Medical Copywriter to expand existing content for the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cardiac sections of this client’s website. Copywriter must have some experience creating content for cancer-related and cardiac-related content/documentation, preferable for a consumer audience. Style and formatting will need to be consistent with other sections of the web site. All copywriting will be done in MS Word and uploaded to client’s Content Management System. Project will involve numerous revisions before final copy is approved by physician subject matter experts.

Note: Client will require that the consultant review the two web site links to be expanded as well as a link that shows the proposed style and formatting. Consultant will then be asked to prepare an estimate of time required to complete the project, including time for revisions.

Required Skills:

• Technical or Medical Writing Degree or Certifications preferred
• 5+ years medical writing experience preferred
• 3+ years Web Copywriting experience
• Medical content experience in the are of cancer and cardiology required
• Experience working with content/document management systems a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Accustomed to working on 100% telecommute / virtual projects

Description:

We manage websites for a very few clients. We are looking for someone to do HTML and CSS work for these sites, which will entail taking a finished PSD file and creating a web page that matches the art.

We’re not looking for simple slice and save type work, we’re looking for great markup and clean, efficient CSS. If you’ve recently spent an hour trying to get rid of a container div you knew you didn’t need, then you’re the type we’re looking for.

We hate IE 6, but our visitors don’t, so we require all pages to render correctly in IE6/7/8, Firefox 3.x and Safari 3+. We do not require W3C validation, but good clean code should never be that far off.

We do a fair bit of Ajax, so if you know any JS that’s a plus, but we’ve got people for that.

Currently we have about 20 -30 hours a week but the position could easily graduate to a full-time gig if we like what we see.
