FLASH DESIGNER

OBJECTIVE:

Southern Web Group is seeking a highly creative freelance Flash designer and developer to build small and medium-sized projects.

COMPANY:

Southern Web Group is an Atlanta-based web design and development firm. We strive to create appealing interactive designs that will effectively communicate using intuitive, appropriate elements while balancing technology’s capabilities and the client’s vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work closely with project management and creatives to conceptualize and produce Flash elements and applications
Translate designs accurately and seamlessly into animations
Assist in all phases of creative work from concept through production
Maintain and optimize preexisting Flash designs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong portfolio of Flash-based animations with 2+ years of experience in Flash Design and/or scripting and a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, computer science or a related field
  • Expert level ActionScript 3 and object-oriented programming
  • Expert knowledge of Flash animation techniques using both the timeline and programmatic motion
  • Experience creating dynamic Flash applications that use XML and server side technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of encoding audio and video within Flash
  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting preexisting Flash
  • Proficient with Photoshop/Illustrator/Fireworks
  • Experience with xHTML/Javascript/XML
  • Must be creative, resourceful, innovative and pro-active
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stay focused and deliver on time and on budget
