We are looking for a writer to help us build our “Resources” section with articles about the following topics:

REQUIREMENTS:

• Writing experience (please provide writing samples or links to writing).
• Research experience.

• Ability to create INTERESTING and FUN content about the above topics.

Super Creative iPad iPhone Writers

DESCRIPTION:

Super Creative Freelance Writers Sought for Innovative iPad iPhone Application

Education.com is seeking innovative A-class freelance writers to write for a new parenting application on the iPad and iPhone. We will be co-creating together a new kind of writing. Each iPad or iPhone “text-byte” you write will be 1-2 sentences or phrases. The ideal writer understands copywriting, narrative, intrigue, and information dissemination writing genres and will be able to successfully bring them together to capture the attention of the overly busy and stressed American parent. All writers know it is harder to convey a concept in two sentences than in one paragraph, but the world is moving in a new direction and we need writers that are clever enough to convey it all in two sentences that will appear on small screens.

The freelance task will be intense. We will need freelance writers that can devote 3-4 weeks in a row working 25-30 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors, ideally Masters degree.
• Degree or working experience in parenting, education, child and teen development, the road to college.
• Experience in copy writing, screenplay writing, radio or television writing.
• 3 years or more experience in writing for the general consumer market.
• Ability to read and digest information quickly and to write at a very fast pace.
• Familiarity with the iPhone or iPad and how their applications work (Apple Stores are in most major cities).
• A strong desire to learn and experience something new.

• Your resume in email text (no attachments).
• State your preference to write content for: (1) K-2, (2) Grades 3-5, (3) Middle School, or (4) High School.
• One sample piece directly related to our project.
  1. Choose a very interesting article for parents from our website, it must have the word “reference” in the URL.
  2. Write a 1-2 sentence intrigue that is so fascinating that parents will want to click “read more”.
  3. Write a 2 PP summary or “cliffnotes” to the article, including an Action parents could take and an Example using fictitious child/teen and parent names.

We will be selecting four writers. If you are selected:.

• The time frame for 25-30 hours per week will be: March 17 to April 14, or thereabouts.
• 100 pieces are due per week. We will send you 100 articles. You will write the 1-2 sentences of intrigue and the 2 PP cliffnotes (together this equates to 1 piece of content).
• You will get paid $10 for each piece of content you complete. A professional, highly productive writer can do four per hour.

PT / FT eTutors Wanted

Aim-for-A Tutoring is looking for part-time and full-time tutors to provide online tutoring services to students worldwide. If you have a mastery of ANY subject, we would like to hear from you! You may be located anywhere in the world; if you have a computer with a broadband Internet connection, you can now be part of the revolution in teaching & learning.

The tutoring will be provided online using audio and data conferencing.

REQUIREMENTS:

Prospective tutors must have access to the following:

• A personal computer with a broad band Internet access.
• Computer speakers and a microphone.
• Internet telephone software Skype (freely available at http://www.skype.com/).
• For some subjects, a digital tablet & pen mouse is highly recommended (details will be provided to you).
• The tutoring will also use a shared white board software that would be made available for free. Instructions for obtaining and installing the required software will be provided prior to the tutoring session.
  Tutoring Subjects & Goals.
• Math, Science, English Language Arts, or any other subject.
• Elementary, Middle, High School, and College Level, as well as general interest topics.
• Homework help.
• Preparation for standardized tests such as GED, PSAT, SAT, GRE, GMAT.

Required Qualifications for Tutors:

• A minimum of bachelors degree in the subjects you would like to teach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Language.
• Some teaching experience.
• Ability to work during time zones to suit the students in Europe, North America, or Australia (please see Time Zones).
• Passion for teaching.
