Reservation Agent

This is a legitimate part time, seasonal home based position working for ReserveAmerica (a subsidiary of The Active Network), the world’s leading recreation reservation company. Our seasonal needs are expected to run though early September with a chance for future regular (12 month per year) part-time status.
In this role, you will inform us of your scheduling preferences within our requirements of at least 16 hours per week and 16 weekend hours per month. You will be part of our growing Work-At-Home Department and receive continual support from our supervisory staff, Information Technology (IT), Training, and Human Resources groups.
Be part of the latest trend in call center work by accepting incoming calls and entering reservation requests. There are no out-bound calling or sales/commission requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Using a company provided headset, use your excellent communication skills to accept and make reservations for customers over the telephone using our browser based reservation system.
- Maintain productivity goals with the help of our supervisory and training staff.
- Adhere to our formal attendance expectations and overall company policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate remotely with your support groups by phone, email and instant messaging (IM).
- Solid computer skills including internet knowledge (such as basic searching and queries), IM, email, basic Microsoft Word & Excel, some basic technical terminology.
- Must be organized and self motivated.
- Minimum typing speed of 20 to 30 wpm.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Have a fully functioning home PC that meets the minimum requirements as outlined below.
- Have a high speed internet connection (Cable Internet Preferred) that is not wireless.
- Windows XP with Service Pack 3 or Windows Vista with Service Pack1 only NOTHING ELSE ACCEPTED.
- 512 of physical memory.
- Current up to date Anti-Virus package.
- Processor speed exceeding 2.2 GHz
- Adobe 7.0 or higher.
- Updated Java.
- Flash version 7 or higher.
- Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Version 6.0 of Internet Explorer.
- A phone line that is a landline.
- Must have capability to maintain these requirements and have a source to repair your computer if a non-ReserveAmerica problem arises

Web Content Writer – $14-$15/hr
DESCRIPTION:
Non-profit hospital looking for a web content writer to join their communications staff. The team is currently working on coordinating with a design team to translate multiple volumes of scientific information and medical research into lay terms for a web audience in addition to a medical audience. This person will need to be able to simplify large quantities of technical information into more succinct web content. The candidate will be familiar with web copy writing, have project management skills and basic design skills to layout the content. You will also be working on a weekly e-newsletter for the hospital. He/she will need to know CS4 and must be able to work on a mac. This position will pay $14-$15/hr.
