Facebook Interface Developer

DESCRIPTION:

We at MGX Copy are looking for a freelance interface developer who will implement the static HTML/JS/CSS for an iFrame shopping application in Facebook. We want a clean, effective, and elegant interface that will facilitate the shopping and photobook-creation experience. The key components of the application will include a photobook designer, collage designer, and shopping cart as well as a main page and the pages of a standard checkout process. The photobook/collage designer are two separate applications in which users drag and drop images from a gallery into a mock book. Our backend developer has created wireframes describing the fields/blocks he needs. We have mockups/examples of the kinds of style look we prefer, but are open to new ideas.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technical Requirements. We want the interface to be enhanced by Javascript effects. Some things we’re looking for: fade-in + dynamic (delayed) image loads, drag-and-drop interface, and in-browser popup notifications. The application needs to be cross-browser (not mobile), and needs to actually work from within Facebook.
  • Work Flow. We want a great interface, and want someone who can either deliver exactly what we want the first time, or is willing to redesign/tune. We are especially interested in the photobook creation interface.
  • Time Frame. We are looking to start the project a little over week from now, and we’re hoping to get the project done around 3 weeks after starting.

Junior User Interface Designer

DESCRIPTION:

  • Mondo User Experience Design is looking for hungry Junior User Interface Designers to collaborate on client projects, do production work, and whatever else it takes to meet our clients’ needs. 
  • The ideal candidate should be very good with Photoshop and Illustrator and would ideally have two years of formal experience as a Junior/Production Designer.  Experience designing both desktop and online application interfaces is a plus, as is knowledge of the principles of user centered design.  Above all else, the ideal candidate MUST be reliable, trustworthy, flexible, and be able to work quickly.
