Most people become Examiners because of the exposure they receive from being on a Top 100 website and the additional opportunities that result from it.  Examiners are independent contractors and receive competitive pay based on publishing frequency and internet variables such as page views, reader subscriptions, session length, and advertiser interest.  It may not be something that will support you, but there are many other benefits like getting invitations to attend special events, requests to review products or services, and making media appearances.  Many Examiners have used their columns as springboards for further success in publishing and their personal careers, while established writers have made their columns integral extensions of their writing lives.  If you have expertise in other areas, please use the topic search bar to explore titles in our other 24 categories.
