Camna, LLC is a growing web development company located in Fredericksburg, VA, that focuses on PHP/MySQL web-based applications. We’re looking for a part-time/full-time employee or freelancer (25-40 hours/week) who is interested in growing with the company into a full-time salaried position. You will have the opportunity to work both on client projects and shape company products. We offer a flexible schedule in a creative work environment.  

REQUIREMENTS:

We are seeking an organized multi-tasker that is self-directed and able to interact well with clients. The required technical skills include:

  • PHP5 Object Oriented Programming.
  • MySQL 5.
  • CodeIgniter.
  • Hand-written standards-compliant, cross-browser XHTML/CSS code (IE6, IE7, IE8, Firefox, Safari, and Opera)
  • JavaScript, especially jQuery.
  • Linux/Apache experience.
  • Expression Engine and WordPress plugin development

Graphic designer and front-end developer

We are looking to fill two roles:

  • Front-end web developer.
  • Graphic designer.
  • Both would be 10-20 contracted hours per week, start immediately and would lead to ongoing work if results are strong.
  • We prefer candidates local to the Bay Area but are open to anywhere up to four time zones away from California.
REQUIREMENTS:

Our ideal candidate will have:
  • 5+ years of developing the front-end of web apps
  • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies like AJAX, XHTML, DOM, JQuery, CSS, XML, and HTML
  • Proven ability to deliver in agile environments
  • Competence in optimizing site performance/load times
  • Competence in cross-browser compatibility
