Web designer for a creative, professional, beautiful design project
DESCRIPTION:
Hey, this is Mike Botsko – owner of Botsko.net – a web development company located in Portland, Oregon. I’ve been doing web development on personal and client projects for over ten years and I enjoy it as much today as I did then. I even teach programming as well.
I’m seeking a web application designer for a very special project. For the past year I’ve invested a serious amount of time, thought and energy into a project that will be sold to developers and designers like us. It fills a void and bridges some gaps that the current competition just hasn’t covered yet.
I can’t quite tell you what this project involves yet, but I can say that it’s almost entirely complete – sans design. This is a product that’s functionality complete and is in use by myself and other team members daily. I need someone as skilled at design as I am in development to help me with the last step before private beta. With a quality design I’m extremely confident that this project will become successful.
I realize how rare it will be to find a talented designer who’s even still reading at this point. I’m willing to work out a deal with you to compensate you for your time. I’m completely invested and dedicated to this project and I want it to succeed. I’m willing to trade my skills, give you a percentage of the business, or anything else you might propose.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent web design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
- Talent for very creative, yet very professional designs
- Expert knowledge of css, experience with javascript (jQuery), PHP, etc
- Understanding the how and why of valid, semantic markup
- Experience with git helpful*
I’m open to taking your designs and implementing them as html/css if that helps you find the time to be involved. In that case, the marked bullets aren’t as important. Our target is HTML5, with support for IE7+.
Company Information: Botsko.net, LLC
Contact Information: Please at least send me a note (6429@jobs.authenticjobs.com) about yourself and why you might be able and willing to help, along with examples of your work.

Freelancing is my life. It's what I know, it's what I'm good at, and I can't imagine doing anything else. You can call me "Freddie the Freelancer"… because I'd prefer not to use my real name for reasons that I'll tell you about in a moment.
