REQUIREMENTS:

  • An outstanding portfolio showcasing innovative design solution.
  • Experience creating intuitive application interfaces that combine cutting-edge tech with practical design methodologies.
  • An interest in grid systems, composition, color theory.
  • Typography and an obsessive attention to detail.
  • Experience with agile development (scrum) is a plus.

Looking for a candidate to create elegant user interfaces for a variety of applications.  Interface design would involve screen layouts, information architecture, typography, color usage, user flows and overall usability. Additionally, you would manage usability testing of current interfaces in order to unify them with new releases.

Online Organizers


DESCRIPTION:

Want to run your own rapid-response advocacy campaigns on a daily basis across a range of progressive causes with the support of more than 100 bloggers and 1,000,000 activists? Change.org is hiring a team of 5 full-time online organizers/campaigners to craft, promote, and advance measurable change with advocacy campaigns for its 15 causes.

Each organizer will:

  • Oversee all online advocacy for 2-3 major causes on Change.org.
  • Collaborate with Change.org’s expanding team of bloggers and editors to identify opportunities for creating effective grassroots campaigns on a daily basis.
  • Support Change.org’s growing list of more than 75 progressive nonprofit clients in creating, testing.
  • Optimizing their national advocacy campaigns for syndication across the Change.org network.
  • Write online petitions and email action alerts.
  • Spread the word about newsworthy campaigns through social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
  • Use offline means when necessary to advance campaigns and pressure targets, including phone calls and press outreach.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with crafting and executing online advocacy campaigns
  • Great writing and communication skills
  • A hunger to work hard in a fast-paced environment focused on breaking actions.
