3 Ways to Create Effective Small Business Internet Advertising

Small business Internet advertising can gain you many customers if you do it right. One thing you have to know when you are going to do small business Internet advertising is that you want to connect and give an action step. These are the two most important ways copywriters use advertising to influence the target market.
Which one do you choose in your advertising? It depends on the market. Direct copywriting will give an action step while indirect tells the market about the product and leaves the decision up to them. Freelance business marketing can use both forms.
1. Create Facebook advertisements. If you already created a Facebook Fan Page, your next step is to create a Facebook Advertisement for your small business Internet advertising.
Looking at the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta advertisement, they included a little bit of everything. Using indirect and direct copywriting, the ad states, “With a complete redesign and surprising price, Facebook needs to add a ‘Love’ button. Until that happens, we’d be happy if you just ‘Like’ it.”
What does this say to you? It seems that Volkswagon wants you to “Like” their fan page. Is that the main point? Well, they already have 496,067 people that “Like” the new Jetta. So, how many people do they suppose will actually buy the vehicle? Let’s suppose that 10% will buy it. Doing the math, that’s almost 50,000 people!
I suppose you see why it’s great marketing to create small business Internet advertising using an ad on Facebook now. I hope so! Also on the Volkswagon Fan Page is an interactive service for visitors to create their own coupon. Not a bad idea!
2. Use forums to post advertising. This works especially well if you do small business internet advertising in a forum with at least 2,000 members and above. Wherever there is a core group of visitors and newcomers to the forum, you will have luck.
Two forums that corner the niche market and get mentioned in magazines and blogs online include Warrior Forum and Absolute Water Cooler. Warrior Forum caters to Internet Marketers with plenty of members helping new marketers out with information. Absolute Water Cooler is a writing forum for all areas of writing including fiction, nonfiction and freelance writing for magazines.
If your business plans to use small business internet advertising in forums, make sure to learn about the target market first. Find an area that would benefit this market and write direct advertising copy. Many people who visit forums are looking for information and when they see your advertisement, you want them to say, “Oh wow! That was just what I was looking for!” and click on your ad to buy the product.
3. Use Google to advertise. Google offers two programs called AdWords and AdSense. These are competitive, but if you research your target market and existing competitors, you can set your business apart. Using AdWords, you use direct advertising to gain customers who are already looking for a product like yours. Create a budget first before you start and you pay when anyone clicks on your advertisement.
AdSense gives you more customization and tracking. If you have a store for your business, you might find that AdSense will help you target mobile customers while they are on the go. You can also gain money by displaying ads on your site.
Using these three ways to create small business Internet advertising are effective solutions to gain more customers for your freelance business. If you are just starting a website, these methods will kickstart your success. Over time, you will be able to rely on organic traffic and other ways to gain more clients, especially through word of mouth.
Have you tried any of these ways to create small business Internet advertising? Which one worked the best for you?
