Complexity will range from structural drawings to high-fidelity simulations depending on the scope of the particular project.

Editor for FEN Magazine

DESCRIPTION:

FEN is currently accepting applications for editor. Applicants must possess superior communication skills – both written and verbal – and have an interest in Arab-American art and culture. Prospective applicants must be committed to working two to three days per week (15 hours per week required) for a minimum of 12 weeks. This is a telecommuting position so work hours are flexible, with the possibility of weekend assignments.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of one year experience as the editor for either an online website or a print publication
  • Proven team-based leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to guide writers and other editorial staff members
  • Impeccable editing and proofing skills
  • Proven abilities to serve as the public face of the website to consumers and advertisers
  • An impressive roster of existing contacts in the field as well as being able to networking skills to make new relationships
  • Familiarity and understanding of the Arab-American arts community
  • Has the ability to assign, organize, and edit all editorial content for the website on a daily basis
  • Help in the hiring of appropriate writers, bloggers and interns to operate the site
  • Manage FEN’s current staff of freelance writers as well as network to bring in additional writers
  • Help in collecting content for FEN’s weekly newsletter
