WorkforceLogic is recruiting part-time telecommuters with fluency in Spanish to help with Quality Evaluation for websites for Google Inc., the search engine company based in Mountain View, California. You will work online from home 10-20 hours per week, at any time of day; the schedule is up to you, All work will be performed in the U.S., participants must have a valid U.S. work authorization.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • In-depth, up-to-date familiarity with Spanish (Spain) culture and media and with the Spanish-language World Wide Web.
  • A high-speed internet connection.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Moderate ability to read and write in English. You must be able to read and write English well enough to use software with an English interface, understand complicated instructions written in English, and make yourself understood in informal written communication. This job involves frequent written discussion in English with fellow Ads Quality Raters and project administrators.

F/T Remote Help Desk Technician

DESCRIPTION:

A fast-paced remote computer repair company is looking to hire an additional technician to work from home. We are a growing company so there will be room for advancement. You will provide support via remote connection software and phone to clients on a variety of issues in a remote office environment. Respond to telephone calls, email and IM requests for technical support. Document, track, and monitor the issues to ensure a timely resolution. We require experience (personal or professional) in the field or in a related area. Prospects must possess satisfactory verbal and written communication abilities in English. Also must be personable, reliable and trustworthy. A mandatory background check is required. The platforms we support are Windows XP/Vista/7 and now OS X (10.6.x). We are specifically seeking those with strong OS X and Windows skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Use, concepts, troubleshooting and repair of OS X (10.6.x) and bundled applications (iTunes, iLife), especially the ability to guide a Windows user in the transition to OS X.
  • Use, concepts, troubleshooting and repair of Windows XP/Vista/7.
  • Use, concepts, troubleshooting and repair of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Use, concepts, troubleshooting and repair of common security applications.
  • Use, concepts, troubleshooting and repair of printer operation in a remote environment.
  • Use, concepts, troubleshooting and repair of network functions in a remote environment. (Note; this pertains to LAN, WAN and WiFi in primarily simple workgroups. We do not administer domains.)
  • Use, concepts, troubleshooting and repair of PC hardware in a remote environment.
  • Methods of malware removal and prevention.
  • A PC in good working order, preferably with a fresh OS install.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 GHz CPU (PR rating equal to or greater than this or dual cores at lower speed are fine)
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 20+ GB free HDD space
  • 17″ or larger display
  • Windows XP
  • MS Office/Outlook 2003 or 2007
  • Creation of separate user account for MCW work
  • Router (port forwarding required)
  • Cable or DSL with 1Mb/s or greater upstream bandwidth
  • A quiet workspace

Recommended:

  • Greater than 2 GHz CPU
  • 2 GB RAM
  • Dual 17″ or larger displays (several of us use 3 displays)
  • Windows XP Pro/Vista/7
  • 2 UPS
  • A noise-canceling headset (2.5mm or RJ-6 type with amp)
