RoR Developer To Build Simple Daily Deals Site

DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a back end developer who can build a fairly straigtforward website over the holiday break.  We’d like to start at the end of this week, and have something live the second week of January.  We are based in Washington DC, but can work with any one in the US.  But please, only US developers apply. The scope is to build a site that allows customers to purchase deals, see their deal history, and share with friends their deals.  The site will also allow businesses to see who has purchased their deal, and modify/create proposed deals through the website.  This is basically a four page site for grouping daily deals and allowing users to by those deals after receiving an e-mail.

We have a front end designer, and are looking for the right person to do the back end coding.  We’ll use the usual suspects for our work .GitHub, Linode or Heroku, S3, Pivotal Tracker, et cetera. We’re paying $1200 for the work, and it should not take more than say 30 hours to do we think it should take probably around 20 hrs.  But for we want to do a flat rate of $1200 to start out.  It’s reasonable to expect that the $1200 initial budget will evolve into a monthly contract for around the same amount.
