DESCRIPTION:

New website seeks knowledgeable, experienced writers for freelance assignments. Experience covering any of the following beats is a major plus: Movies, Television, Books, Family, Food, Fitness, History, U.S. Politics, Science, Technology, Professional Sports and Travel.

Pay ranges from $20 to $75, or more, for articles ranging in length from 500 to 1,500 words, with pay based on your experience, writing ability, the topic and story length. Writers with experience in the aforementioned fields will command higher pay and regular assignments.

Some stories can be completed without contacting a source, although stories requiring at least one human source will pay more.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to provide three writing samples and two personal references. Knowledge of A.P. style is desirable, but not required.

QA Tester

DESCRIPTION:

  • Test products for acceptance into the Quality Assurance Test environment.
  • Review business and system requirement documentation (use cases, supplementary specifications) to develop comprehensive system testing artifacts.
  • Prepare and review test documentation to ensure full test coverage of each product component, including Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Reports.
  • Define and identify acceptance criteria, test environment, test set-up requirements, test utilities and tools to support Functional and System Testing.
  • Execute test cases and evaluate results.
  • Automate manual test procedures and develop automated test tools as assigned.
  • Provide support to development team members on testing-related issues.
  • Actively participate in product requirement reviews to ensure requirements are testable.
  • Troubleshoot and report defects.
  • Conduct regression testing of defect fixes.
  • Provide status to management on assignments, planned activities, issues, and dependencies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.?A.? or B.?S.?) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineer or related field is required.
  • Five or more years of related software or product test experience is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a required.
  • Knowledge of standard test methodologies (e.?g.? Six Sigma, White Box/? Black Box Testing, etc.?) is preferred.
  • Experience in the FDA realm or related industry a plus but not required.
  • Experience in Computer System Validation (CSV) in creating IQ/?OQ/?PQ docs in a regulated environment a plus.
  • Experience using Test Complete V 7/?8 from Smart Bear a plus
