PHP Application Developer

DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a php developer to complete a web application under a tight deadline.??The application will need to be able to handle typical functions: user registration, recurring payments, dunning, account management.??The application will allow users to input financial data and rates and view a yearly overview of projected wealth in various formats (table, line chart, pdf) and save the reports for future use.??All formulas will be provided.Design files will be provided. Responsibilities: Take full control of the web application code design and development from start to finish. Integration payment solution for recurring payments.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Has expert php/mysql knowledge
  • Has front end coding chops HTML/CSS/JS
  • Has built online applications with a subscription based model before and can show examples and code.
  • Can start immediately and finish project by March 4th 2011

Other Specifics:
You will work remotely and be responsible for completing the project on your own time.
This is overflow work, upon completion of this project, more work may follow.
Must be able to speak English and communicate clearly, time zone not a factor.

Junior Designer/Front-End Developer

DESCRIPTION:

English360 is looking for a hard working Junior User Interface Designer/Front-End Developer to work in conjunction with their development team to design and develop elegant interfaces for its industry-leading English learning web application.  The person in this role would follow the direction of the design lead and take the creation of new features and functionality from the design phase to implementation, delivering finished HTML and CSS to the development team’s back-end developers.

REQUIREMENTS:

Our ideal candidate would have a minimum of two years of formal experience doing the work typical of a junior/production designer as well as that of a front-end web developer, which among other things, includes a familiarity with the principles of user centered design, savvy with Photoshop and Illustrator, and a proficiency in standards-based XHTML and CSS.  Additionally,excellent verbal and written communication skills and the availability to chat/talk via Skype are musts.

Digital Producer

DESCRIPTION:

You must be qualified in all the expected areas (detail freak!), and be flexible with milestones and clients who try to move the goalposts mid-project.

As arguably the most essential member of the development team at After10, you will have a key role in shaping the company through the development of its core products. You’ll have ownership (and responsibility) for heading up a wide variety of initiatives and design projects.  You’ll get the chance to work with a team of designers, developers, account managers, and marketing people to create great stuff for both small companies and Fortune 500 titans. Naturally, we need everything on time and on budget…are you up for the challenge?

Beyond that, the job description is pretty obvious: The DP oversees all aspects of digital projects, including but not limited to: scoping and estimating, creating and maintaining concise project plans, budget tracking and reporting, risk and issue management, and intelligent resource assignment.
If you’re a New York or Los Angeles native: great, we should meet for coffee!  However, we have a distributed development team…so we’re already used to working with smart people from all over the world.  We’re looking for the most talented PM that we can find, so the only requirement is that you are a self-starter who is comfortable working remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish the scope and objectives of key digital projects
  • Work with digital teams to define product specifications and functional requirements
  • Research and recommend key technologies and methods
  • Produce detailed project plans, resource plans and cost estimates
  • Proactively identify risks to develop and implement contingencies
  • Oversee vendor solicitation, evaluation, selection and contract negotiation activities
  • Create and lead the workflow process from R&D through to product launch
  • Maintain knowledge base and stimulate communication flow using digital collaboration tools
  • Define and manage all aspects of project scheduling
  • Arrange meetings and work sessions internally and with third party contractors and vendors
  • Monitor budgets and through careful tracking, management and reporting
  • Track progress against milestones and issue weekly status reports
  • Maintain product and feature roadmap
  • Produce concise written documentation of product components and deliverable

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of professional project management experience
  • Thorough understanding of project life cycles and dynamics
  • A healthy obsession for details
  • Proven skill to manage and deliver substantial digital products on time and on budget
  • Enthusiasm to coordinate the activities of internal and external teams
  • Comprehensive understanding of leading edge technologies and trends
  • Experience with development of CMS/DAM, dynamic database-driven websites, and mobile applications
  • Practical understanding of systems integration, syndication, and scaling to multiple platforms
  • Exposure to quality assurance, data analytics and data management practices
  • Experience using common project management software such as Merlin, Basecamp, Zoho, etc.
