Front-End Web Developer (CSS/HTML/JS)

DESCRIPTION:

We’re seeking a talented front-end web developer to help us build engaging web experiences using JavaScript/HTML/CSS. A developer who will apply their visual and technical signature to several sizable projects from a large range of clients/industries. ??The majority of our projects are web-based applications that interact with humans and data in a game-like manner, and we need someone to help ensure everything we build is a pleasure to use.

Responsibilities:

  • Write high performing, optimized, client-side code with browser compatibility and accessibility in mind
  • Advocate for best practices, great usability and exceptional quality, with awareness of client needs and priorities
  • Identify and prioritize multiple projects in a self-directed and motiviated way
  • Champion products with dedication to quality and attention to detail

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A passion for web standards and user experience
  • Proven HTML/CSS skills (HTML5/CSS3 a plus)
  • Brilliant use of asynchronous JavaScript (jQuery a plus)
  • Conversant with a variety of web templating systems and frameworks (expert PHP a must; familiarity with Symfony a plus)
  • WordPress experience a plus
  • Experience with common and more obscure cross-browser and cross-domain solutions
  • Experience with version control a plus
  • Natural curiosity balanced with pragmatism. You are always up for trying out something new, but you know how to pick the right tool for the job
  • Knack for working in small, close-knit teams
  • Fluid written, verbal, and electronic communication skills, and a good sense of humor

Responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience developing native Android apps or other mobile apps is strongly preferred
  • Java; an interest in learning Scala (or experience)
  • An eye for user experience
  • One or more Android apps already developed; demo APKs to share with us
  • Experience with Java in non-Enterprise applications
  • Natural curiosity balanced with pragmatism. You are always up for trying out something new, but you know how to pick the right tool for the job
  • Knack for working in small, close-knit teams

Web Developer – PHP, CSS

Level2Designs, Inc. is a small web development company based in sunny Orange County, CA. We specialize in both client work and web application development, and are looking for a talented web developer who has passion for their work to join our team. ??The ideal candidate is a driven, self-motivated individual whose bread and butter is making web sites and making them well. This person needs to work efficiently in a team and should be able to take criticisms as well as make them (constructively of course). He or she needs to be able to adapt quickly, as new projects are constantly being added to our plate. Above all – we want PASSION.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standards-based development master
  • Javascript/AJAX extraordinaire
  • Proficient in PHP/MySQL development
  • PHP framework experience (CakePHP, CodeIgniter, etc.)
  • We’d REALLY LOVE to see Django/Python experience.
  • CMS experience; specifically Drupal, Expression Engine and/or WordPress (preferably “and”)??.
  • Design and/or SEO experience would be great to see on your resumé as well.
