Project Manager for Japanese to English Financial Translations

DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a project manager to manage rapid turnaround Japanese to English financial as well as other types of translation projects. You will manage translators and editors to complete each project, recruit and evaluate new team members over time, and manipulate documents to ensure they meet client specifications.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Native level English proficiency
  • JPLT Level 2 or equivalent Japanese ability
  • Experience in the translation industry
  • Experience using a translation memory application
  • PC with Vista or Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2007 or later (laptop is preferable)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to learn company’s technology
  • Organized, punctual, detail-oriented and good at working in a team

Desired qualifications (strong plus, but not required)

  • Experience as a translation project manager
  • Experience with DTP
  • Experience in financial industry
