DESCRIPTION:
Protect.com is seeking talented and web-savvy writers/researchers to help us create up-to-date content for our site. We need people passionate about the mortgage industry that can write useful articles about types of mortgages, buying a home, mortgage rates, and mortgages at risk. Not only that, but you must be able to do valuable research to help develop resources and guides for our visitors. You will be asked to find research via web, phone, and interviews with experts in the field. We want researchers/writers who can find and create fresh and useful information for people that want to learn more about mortgages and are trying to figure out what their best options are.
PROJECTS:
- Write 2-3 articles per week, 600-800 words each
- Reproduce articles across social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Stumbleupon

Mobile Developer
DESCRIPTION:
We’re looking for an experienced mobile developer to join our small team of designers and developers. Day-to-day you can expect to work on everything from iPhone and iPad apps to web services for both internal and client projects.
We’re looking for a candidate who has attention to detail, is self-motivated, opinionated and loves producing great work. You will work directly with our design and back-end teams to flesh out and implement products. You’ll have no problem handling any design or feature challenge thrown your way. As our first mobile development hire, you will lead the mobile development process and your experience will go a long way in educating the rest of the team in mobile.
In addition to mobile development, your day could involve the following:
- Back-end development on non-mobile related projects
- Managing the mobile side of a project
- Debating technology with your coworkers
- Training and educating other developers on best practices, tools, etc.
- Mobile business development
- Adding features to our Campfire chat bot, Sam
- Pitching the team on an idea you have
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills we’re looking for:
- At least one year experience developing native iOS applications (Android a plus)
- Experience launching a product through iTunes Connect
- Experience with web frameworks such as Rails, Django, Kohana, etc.
- Working knowledge of PHP and/or Ruby
- Experience working with a design team
- Experience implementing more than just the standard UIKit interface
