Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Power Supply Review and Coordination Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

Rapid Bridge’s Design Services Division has an immediate need to hire a full-time or contract Power Supply Review and Coordination Engineer to join our team.

Power Supply Review and Coordination Engineer

Locations: San Diego CA or San Jose CA or Raleigh NC or Burlington, VT or work from home/remote

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will conduct design reviews for chips from a power supply/use perspective.
  • Reviews include checking of power analysis spreadsheets and/or netlist driven power.

analysis setup and reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

Required skills (must haves):

  • Design System experience – has used/understand power supply layout/principles.
  • Demonstrated skills on power supply projects – at chip level (microelectronics).
  • Five years plus of professional experience required.
  • Have ability to program (primarily tcl and perl).
  • Experience with both IC and board-level Power / SI skills would be a huge plus!

Specific tool experience required:

  • User of the power spreadsheet (APS).
  • User of the voltage planning spreadsheet (VPS).
  • User of the netlist power analysis tool (PowerEval).
  • Training would be provided for suitable candidate.
  • User of industry standard layout/wiring/timing tools.
  • Industry standard power tools including: PrimeTime PX, RTL Compiler First Encounter, Voltage Storm

Education and years of experience:

  • BSEE with professional work history in microelectronics business of more than five years.
