DESCRIPTION:

Beyond Indigo is expanding its production team with the addition of an experienced HTML/CSS coder. We’re looking for someone fanatical about clean code, proficient, detail-oriented, and able to work with project team members to quickly produce high quality code for client websites. If this is you, please send a code sample along with resume.

This is a contract position with a strong possibility of becoming a full-time telecommute position. Location may be anywhere within the US.

Duties include:

  • Convert PSD files to clean XHTML/CSS including print and mobile CSS.
  • Integrate jQuery code to create usable functionality
  • Populate sites and individual pages as required with high usability
  • Provide coding support to teams developing interactive tools.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 4 years professional web development and coding experience
  • Expert knowledge of hand coded HTML, XHTML, and CSS including table free layouts, web typography and interactive elements.
  • Demonstrated understanding of standards-based coding, browser compatibility issues, and web constraints
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and JQuery reqired.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and photo editing for the web.
  • Experience and knowledge of mobile css and coding for mobile devices.
  • Experience working with PHP.
  • Familiarity with WordPress a big plus.
  • Ability and willingess to learn new technologies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Web Design, Multimedia Design, Visual Arts or related field preferred

Our start-up company is launching an international campaign for our website www.fidoo.com, a search engine where users can find brands and stores throughout the country, with an informative and professional News Stream section, an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of writing and/or blogging experience REQUIRED, can include internships, please don’t email if you don’t have previous professional experience.
  • MUST have previous experience covering Action Sports Wear: skateboarding, surfing, etc apparel lines such as Roxy, Billabong, Burton, etc, and be able to cover what’s happening in the industry in a fashion-forward manner. Witty (but professional) writing voice is a major plus!
  • Ability to follow writing guidelines and familiarity with AP format.
  • Familiarity with WordPress
  • Strong research and content packaging skills
  • Access to a computer and reliable Internet connection
  • Payment per article
  • Minimum 5 articles per week

UI Oriented Developer
