DESCRIPTION:

UX Integrated is seeking a talented designer and front-end developer to assist with projects for a high-value client. This is a freelance or contract opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects with the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Responsibilities

  • Design mockups of websites, email newsletter templates, and other graphics based on creative direction
  • Translate mockups to functional websites using standards-based (X)HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Design and code email newsletter templates
  • Test your designs on a variety of browsers and devices to insure compatibility
  • Maintain existing websites by updating content as required
  • Provide general technical assistance and problem solving to other team members

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualifications and Experience
  • Solid design experience, with an understanding of layout, typography, and color
  • Knowledge of user interface best practices
  • Expert-level knowledge of (X)HTML and CSS
  • An understanding of SEO-optimized, CSS-based layouts that adhere to W3C standards
  • Experience creating email templates that render consistently on multiple devices
  • Experience with Javascript, including frameworks such as jQuery
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills

In addition to the above requirements, the ideal candidate would have one or more of these additional qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Ruby on Rails templates
  • Experience with version control systems (specifically Git)
  • Understanding of mobile technologies (specifically iOS)

Online Content Distribution Expert

DESCRIPTION:

StreetAuthority is a leading financial newsletter publisher specializing in stock market advisories and free investment commentary. Our research staff provides independent, unbiased guidance on investments to a base of over 1 million individual investors throughout the world. We operate multiple websites, including StreetAuthority.com and InvestingAnswers.com.

We owe some of our success to our network of partners that help us distribute our content online — partners like Yahoo! Finance, Nasdaq, AOL, and TheStreet.com.

But we want to increase our distribution channel to other partners and nurture existing relationships to grow them even more.

We’re looking for an aggressive “go-getter” with the strong personal skills (and industry contacts) to make this happen. Obviously, previous experience in online content distribution is a big plus.

Position Duties:

  • Seeking out new distribution partners to increase StreetAuthority’s exposure across the web.
  • Staying in contact with current partners to not only maintain current relationships, but grow them.
  • Working with our staff to incorporate features within content that make it more attractive to outside partners.

Qualified candidates will need to meet all of the following requirements…

  • Experience in a similar role at another financial publisher is strongly preferred.
  • Experience building distribution contacts for a web-based publisher.
  • If no direct experience in content distribution, strong sales experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of the financial markets is helpful.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated excellence in infographic design and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Outside the box thinker who can present stale information in new, exciting ways.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, and take direction well, as well as bring new ideas to the table.

This is a freelance contract role on an as needed basis. Pay will vary based on the complexity of the project, but will average $20/hr with the typical design requiring 10-20 hours of work.
