Remote IP Coder

DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking experienced Inpatient coders to add to our specialized coding staff. HCCS coders work from home and have wide discretion to set their own hours, work week, and expected productivity level. HCCS provides all necessary equipment and software including a desktop computer and two 24″, wide screen, LCD monitors.

Each HCCS coder is fully specialized. That is, each coder will only code their strongest chart type. This position’s expectations are to accurately code what was depicted during the patient encounter and according to UHDDS and Coding Clinic rules. Despite the fact that our coders are spread across the country, we have a tight-knit group of talented coders that communicate and collaborate constantly. Our coders can expect to be part of a dynamic coding family.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • IP Coders must have current RHIA, RHIT or CCS certification
  • Must have 3+ years of coding experience at an acute care facility with 150+ beds
  • Must be able to work from your home
  • Must have access to high speed internet

Claims Processor

DESCRIPTION:

Calling all work at home candidates. To be considered you Must have all of the below qualifications:

Responsibilities for this position are to:

  • Provide expertise or general claims support by reviewing, researching, investigating, and processing claims
  • Review data for all types of physician or hospital claims
  • Analyze and identify trends and provide reports as necessary
  • Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, quality standards, and aging timeframes
  • Authorizes the appropriate payment or refers claims to investigators for further review
  • Some work is completed without established procedures.
  • Basic tasks are completed without review by others.
  • Supervision/guidance is required for higher level tasks.
  • Complete special projects and assignments as determined and assigned by Team Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

  • Moderate Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Experience in claims processing in QicLink claims processing system strongly preferred (RIMS Platform)
  • Experience with processing Coordination of Benefits claims preferred
  • Experience with processing Medicare supplement claims preferred
  • Ability to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
  • Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive
  • Ability to effective navigate multiple applications while processing claims
