We are looking for articles on marketing a book, publishing, and the craft of writing for our Advice for Authors and Writers page (http://www.oncewritten.com/AdviceForAuthorsAndWriters.php).

REQUIREMENTS:

We prefer that these articles offer specific action items, and would rather that they didn’t take on the format of a “personal” essay. For obvious reasons, these articles must be written by industry professionals, and we cannot take articles about marketing a book from unpbublished authors, for example. We do accept interviews as articles, where unpublished freelance writers may interview industry professionals.

We pay $5 per article.

REQUIREMENTS:

The position requires excellent communication skills, written and oral. Attention to detail is a must. High-speed, stable internet connection required. Only applicants with prior recent transcription experience of at least 3 years considered. Working on holidays and one weekend day is required.

Acute Care Transcription: At least 3 years of recent experience transcribing operative reports, H&P’s, discharge summaries and consults. Must have experience with ESL dictators

Testing is a requirement for these positions.

The line rate for these positions is based upon experience and testing (65 character line/spaces included). We require a high-speed internet connection. Our transcription platform is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.

Hardware/Software: Wav files/proprietary software. USB foot pedal needed!
File Transfer Method: Windows 2003 or higher; MS Word, Medical spellchecker
Compensation: $0.08 cents per 65 character line with spaces
