Do you believe using the commands “remove” or “delete” is all it takes to remove or delete a file or program from your computer?  Sounds simple enough right? Remove file; delete file; empty trash.  Boom.  All cleaned up. Gone forever. Nice and Tidy.

Wrong.

Because of the way most filing systems work, just about all “deleted” or “removed” information is easily recovered.  Out of site doesn’t always mean out of mind- your computers mind, that is.  Not only is this the exact opposite of what you want to do in the first place (remove items) it’s also one of the hidden little factors that can bog things down and clutter up memory.

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine gave me one of those personality tests that tells you what “color” you are: blue, green, gold, or orange.
