Inetword which is closing down in March is different to the others you mention because inetword allows you to edit HTML documents and publish via ftp to your website so it replaces the need for a website editor although it was VERY buggy, lots of probs with it.
Currently looking for an alternative to inetword so i can allow my clients to edit their own websites in realtime, looks like i'll have to go with using an online word processor and place the content into an iframe.

I'm amazed that there aren;t any other companies like inetword doing online website editors/publishers, anyone have any ideas on alternatives to inetword? not talking about google docs, buzzword or zoho etc, these are not the same thing.

I suspect you two must be talking about something besides TimeClock Plus. What you describe has not been our experience at all, and we put this software in all over the U.S. By far, the most reliable and flexible piece of software I've tried, and trust me, I looked at a bunch.

If you in fact have TimeClock Plus in your hand, you should contact them about these issues - I can almost guarantee you've got something wrong on your end. I bet they'll make it right.

Yes, time management tool is a necessity these days, without one of these, it's hard to stay focus on the things need to be done. I'm using Rescue time and one called Action Enforcer, you can find it here: http://www.get-places.com/j/actionenforcer/

I've been digging and digging for alternatives to Google Docs and Zoho Writer. This is one of the only articles I found that compares them to anything other than Thinkfree or Microsoft Office. Nice to see someone is paying attention to ALL the options out there.

Thanks Janet, we will check that out! A lot of what we do here is try to stay web based with solutions that people can use from anywhere. If you have a computer and an internet connection, you can use most of our reviewed products or services. However, that does not mean that everyone feels that way. If you are a writer or freelancer yourself, perhaps you could submit a review of this product!

You may want to consider a completely different approach, appliance-based solution such as RHUB web conferencing and remote support appliance (http://www.rhubcom.com/). You could deploy it behind the firewall to set up a private collaborative cloud.
