The private planes of the rich and famous are often decked out so extravagantly that they boggle the imagination of us ordinary folks. Take, for example, the Airbus A380 belonging to Prince Alwaleed bin Tala Al Saud. The world’s most expensive private jet, it’s worth about $500 million, and features a two-car garage, a stable for horses and camels, and a prayer room that rotates so it’s always facing Mecca.
While that may be the world’s most outrageous private plane, pop sensation Taylor Swift’s is nothing to take lightly, either.
“I was in Toronto the other week doing a show with Taylor Swift… which was, I mean crazy, like I can’t even explain it really,” Charli XCX, the artist behind the hit song “Boom Clap,” told Heat magazine. “The whole thing was incredible actually — she flew she out on her jet, which was amazing. And yes, her jet that she owns.”
After experiencing Swift’s personal aeronautical headquarters for the first time, Charli’s been dishing all the inside details on what it’s like flying Air Taylor, and it’s basically everything a Swift fan might expect it to be like.
“Everything was customized, apart from, there were like tampons in the toilet, which yes I took a couple of them, because I needed them,” said Charlie. “But unfortunately they weren’t customized.”
The amazing jet in question is a Dassault-Breguet Mystere Falcon 900, which seats 12, allowing Swift to have plenty of room for her gang of girls and flavor of the week. It allegedly cost her about $40 million in 2011 — but that’s just chump change for the pop phenomenon. That year alone, Swift banked over $45 million, so the lavish jet basically dented her bank account, if anything.
And apparently, it’s not just the jet that’s unbelievable.
“She’s amazing by the way, I had so much fun performing with her, she’s really really cool,” Charli added.
